Golf Course Photography
2X Golf Photographer of the Year
Founded in 1989, John and Golfphotos was launched on the national and international stage when his photography of famed Pebble Beach Golf Course in California was used for the program cover and course guide for the 1992 US Open held at the prestigious seaside course. That set in motion a tremendous run of opportunities and publications.
Since then, John has traveled through-out the world amassing over 400,000 images from hundreds of golf course shoots in Asia, Europe, the Caribbean and North America. The majority of the images were shot on super fine grain 6×7 cm and 35 mm Fuji Velvia film, long before digital cameras came of age and had sufficient resolution capabilities. These original slides are meticulously archived and are available via custom orders as high resolution scans and fine art prints for commercial décor and personal art collections.
For the past several years, after digital cameras passed the 20 mega-pixel plateau, John has completely switched to the digital format and many of these more recent shoots are seen here in our public online galleries. These galleries are always growing, so come back often. See www.golfphotos.com to view full photo shoots and contact John directly for a password for full 24/7 access to these portfolios.
He is a veteran of several coffee-table book projects such as “Golf Courses or the PGA Tour”, the annual USGA Calendar, Sports Illustrated Calendars, major golf magazine coverage and the Successories motivational golf poster line that primarily features his photography.
